Many diehard fans of Rajinikanth could not get the tickets for the coveted first day first show. The reason is there is a limited number of theatres and the demand is more. Similarly, in our country population is more and opportunities are less. Most of our youth lack certain important skills, when they graduate. As per the CII survey of group of Corporate employers - 3 out of every 4 graduates do not possess the life skills that could help them to survive the job. ' The Restless’
TM Selvan

TM Manoj started his speech by saying that he is a very strong advocate of his belief and he believed that there are two types of people living in this world. One who       doesn’t bother to take any risk and the second type is the one who likes taking risk. He feels that he is a part of second type and not the lazy sparrow type. There was a lazy sparrow, which heard about a beautiful place and decided to go spend its rest of the life there. Since it is very lazy to search the path, it decided to seek the help of other animals to reach the destination. The animals agreed to help provided the sparrow offers them one of its feathers as a favour. Finally, the sparrow reached its destination but realized that it has lost most of its feathers to fly. He also narrated an example from his collage life where he had a friend who secured 96%in his 12th grade. As the days passed he became more lethargic in his academics and had around 23 arrears in his 7th semester and cleared it at once in 8th semester. He concluded saying that life is like a hare and turtle race. So we should not stop when we reach the peak, since even the slowest turtle can easily overtake us.

10:50 A.M –EDUCATION SESSION
TM Vijay explained about the DCP ( Distinguished Club Points) program. In short it is a 10 point scale on which a club's quality and progress is made. A club prospers when its members grow and improve their communication and leadership skill. Then ten DCP points is a standard indication of how healthy a club is.

10:00 A.M - SAA CALLS FOR MEETING

SAA, TM Sriram, opened the meeting, explained the mission and vision of Toastmasters. TM Sriram then handed over the control to the President TM Vijayaragavan.

10:02A.M - PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

President, TM Vijayaragavan shared about an interesting part in World War II, Germans attacked the Soviet Russia in Operation Barbarosa, and the Soviet prevailed. The Germans had better artillery, guns and well trained men.

Soviets on the other hand had little time for war preparation. They had more population and ill-equipped weapons. But the Dictator Stalin motivated Russians that the only advantage they had - the sheer quantity, be it the men or the machines, however under equipped they were.
In the end, the Germans lost the war due to the persistence of Russian defense, along with other factors like the weather.

Similarly, he compared CSF in the last few meetings - There is always an opportunity for an additional speaking slot.  It is your slot that you are letting go. Are you not satisfied with your previous speech - Repeat the speech again with the evaluator’s feedback.  The quantity of your stage time increases and there is an intangible improvement in the quality of your speech delivery, these small intangible improvements over a consistent period of time.
He concluded with the quote "Quantity has its own quality".

TM Uday Kiran

TM Selvan started his speech by saying that he feels so blessed to be in-charge of the affairs of a reputed club like CSF. But one year back, CSF faced some big challenges like venue, attendance and getting new members. Membership strength was gradually decreasing because our member has to leave Chennai to pursue their careers or studies. He told that we must not forget that the purpose of joining a Toastmaster club is to get better opportunities for our careers and to utilizing our opportunities better using our Toastmaster experience, but now we are in safe turf and sailing smooth to dream bright future. The other challenge faced during his tenure was to improve attendance so they tried to bring back some of the senior members busy in their daily routines to our club activities. Club had mixed results in the growth and has learnt some valuable lessons. He concluded by saying that he knows and believes that we have always shown and will show that we can bring this CSF club to the pinnacle of Toastmasters.
