The 251^st Chennai Speaker Forum meeting was conducted on May 14^th, at Trust Conference Hall, Nungambakkam.

Meeting started at 10 am.

10.00 A.M.  PRESIDING ADDRESS.

The Presiding Officer TM Shriram opened the meet and gave his address.             

10:04 A.M.- GUEST INTRODUCTIONS.

The guests were called upon for their Introductions.       

10:10 A.M. – PRESIDING OFFICER INTRODUCED THE TMOD.

The Presiding officer introduced the ToastMaster of The Day – TM Prasanna Ranganathan.

Theme Of The Day: Epiphany

Word of the day: The Magic Of Believing .

He later handed over the control to the General Evaluator.

10:15 A.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION.

The General Evaluator for the meet was TM Rajen Menon, who explained his role and in turn announced the TAG Role Players of the day, as below

Ah Counter - TM Arun

Grammarian - TM Satish Kumar

Control was handed back to the TMOD.

10:20 A.M. – PREPARED SPEECH SESSION

The prepared speeches of the day were by DTM Saro Velrajan and TM Selvan.

DTM Saro gave his CC6 – Vocal Variety titled “Lessons from Steve Jobs” – In his speech he highlighted the lessons he learnt from Steve Jobs , like “Quality is more important than quantity” and “Keeping things as simple as possible”.

TM Selvan gave his ACB from Speeches By Management – “Persuade and inspire” was his title. He spoke about the life of Gandhi , who inspite of his physical weakness ,had the courage and determination to fight against the British.

By the end of this segment, TMOD requested the gathering to vote for the best speaker and proceeded to the next segment.

10:45 A.M. – EDUCATIONAL SESSION    

We had a wonderful educational session by TM Vivekanandhan, titled “World Of Fiction”,where he spoke about how to write a tall tale speech. He also held a mock Tall Tale Speech Session and insisted that this session be conducted in CSFs future meets.

Following this session, we had Table Topics Speech Session.

11:10 AM – TABLE TOPICS SESSION

TMOD handed over the control to Table Topics Master for the day ,TM Thyagarajan.

TT session saw some fine topics and participation from most of the attendees present.

By the end of the TT session, control was handed back to TMOD.

11:35 A.M. – EVALUATION SESSION

The General Evaluator was called upon by the TMOD for an evaluation session. The GE and his team of evaluators presented their evaluations for all the prepared speeches.

The evaluators were TM Rajesh Velpandian and TM Karthikeyan Arumugan.

After the evaluations were done, the control was handed back to GE.

The GE handed the control back to the TMOD.

11:48 A.M.- TEST YOUR LISTENING SKILLS

The TMOD handed the control back to the Presiding Officer , who conducted the test your listening skills session and also did a M.O.M recap of the 250^th Meeting.

11:52 A.M. – ANNOUNCEMENTS OF WINNERS  

The Presiding Officer acknowledged the below winners

Best TT Speaker -  TM Archana

Best Role Player – TM Prasanna

12:00 P.M. – MEETING ADJOURNED

The Presiding Officer also made an announcement about the upcoming Excomm election , the election chair – TM Siddarth and the election dates – June 11^th 2017.

The meeting was adjourned to 20^th May 2017.
