MEETING ENGAGEMENT REPORT

10:00 A.M - SAA CALLS FOR MEETING
SAA, TM Faisal, opened the meeting, explained the mission and vision of Toastmasters. TM Faisal then handed over the control to the Presiding officer TM Vijayaragavan.
 
Presiding officer, TM Vijayaragavan started the meeting #223.

10:15 A.M - PRESIDING OFFICER INTRODUCED THE TMOD
Presiding officer, TM Vijayaragavan introduced the TMOD; TM Srikar.TM Srikar introduced the theme 'You will see when you believe it’ and the word of the day ' Stupendous '. TM Srikar then explained the various segments in a toastmasters meeting.

10:20 A.M - GENERAL EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION

The TMOD, TM Srikar, then handed over the control to the General Evaluator, TM Anuj. He told that this meeting with him as general evaluator will have constructive criticism which will make us a better speaker. He then requested the TAG team, to brief the objectives of their roles.

TM Bharathi started her speech by saying that Mr. Ravi was a handsome and a lucky boy who married a beautiful girl. Her dad was from Rajasthan, mother from Uttar Pradesh and they settled at Salem. She has 3 siblings and her childhood was a stupendous task to her parents. She failed in her 10th grade and her neighbors were happy about it. But surprisingly, her study hormone worked and to the surprise of her neighbors, she secured 97% in her 12^th grade. She took Bachelor of Commerce and completed her college with 84%. She loves travelling and tries to be extra than an ordinary person.

2	CC#4	TM Dharan	'SYM and OYE’

TM Dharan started his speech by asking the audience whether they have heard the formula ‘SYM, OYE’. He chose fitness industry and has joined under Ramji who was the trainer for Sachin. He was also a coach for Basket Ball League and trained Amith. Unfortunately, he got selected for the league but he couldn’t make it up for finals. Amit’s parents shouted at Ramji in an anguish tone but Ramji was silent and he couldn’t understand what the slogan behind his silence is. After few weeks, Amit’s parents apologized to Ramji and the slogan behind his silence was “Shut Your Mouth, Open Your Ears”. Years later, he got a job in fitness industry.

3	CC#5	TM Vijay	'The Eighth Wonder’

TM Vijay started his speech by saying that we all have role models in life. In the same way, he has Rajesh Nayar, his friend as his role model. He has lived in 7 continents and had got multiple promotions. Rajesh remains as his role model because at a very young age, he took up part time job to study. Later, when he joined an organization, he became a good communicator. He also spoke about the 8^th wonder – compound effect. He quoted a famous saying “Those who understand interest earn it, those who don’t pay it”. When he was 4years old, his neighbor deposited an amount of Rs 5000 and after few years, it got doubled to Rs10, 000. It is a interest on interest. Karthik, his friend is a real estate business man. A part of his salary comes from commission of selling flats. He deposited Rs 40,000 and it got doubled within few years. It was the same case even in Yuva’s life. He concluded saying that due to the lack of physical exercises, he has doubled his weight.

4	ACB#2	TM Rajesh V	'Circuit theory’

TM Rajesh V started his speech by narrating an incident that happened in the exam hall at college. He himself and his friends were blinking and smiling seeing the inability of other friends. Everyone hated circuit theory, because they couldn’t understand. He approached Stephon, who is the only person scoring good marks in circuit theory but he refused to teach him. After watching a movie, he eventually developed the interest of running. After two months, it became an unquenchable thirst; his mind became agile and was able to grasp things easily. He planned and studied for his semester exam and surprisingly he cleared circuit theory paper and topped the score of Stephon.

10:50 A.M –TABLE TOPIC SESSION

An interesting Table Topic session was conducted by DTM Saro. He had a variety of topics which were enjoyed by the audience. The speakers were as follows:

•  TM Suresh Babu - You can't chose up sides on a round world.
•  TM Supraja - Take with a grain of salt
•  TM Sidharth -The only way to self worth is by thinking so.
•  Guest Suriya - There is nothing wrong in the anger, it should come on correct time
•  Guest Mohammed - Our lives are some total of the choice we make.
•  Guest Rajiv - Enjoyable moment in life
•  TM Barathi - Hit the nail on head.
•  TM Rajesh V- The last suit you wear, need no pockets.
•  TM Anuj - Miracles come in moments, be ready and willing.
•  TM Selvan - You cannot be lonely, if you like the person your alone with.
•  TM Vijay - Can't judge a book by its cover
•  TM Faisal - Once in a blue moon
•  TM Dharan - Jump on the ban wagon
•  TM Srikar - Steal someone's thunder
  

11:35 A.M –EVALUATION SESSION

TM Anuj, General evaluator, then shared the overall feedback of the session. He appreciated the good things in the meeting being the Energy and the meeting being conducted in a formal and structured manner and the meeting could have started a little early.
