'Smiling Gandhi’

TM Umashanker started his speech with a quote "Action speaks louder than words". Many of us may have the same idea but it is only few who works hard and have the intention to pursue it. Gandhiji stood as an example for it. He laso preached a simple living, "Think simple, speak simple, lead high". Five hundred rupees note even if it is crushed, its value does not change. This example is even applicable to human life. He concluded his speech with a quote
" Keep your thoughts positive, because your thoughts become your Words.
Keep your words positive, because your words become your Behaviour.
Keep your behaviour positive, because your behaviour becomes your Habits.
Keep your habits posiyive, beacuse your habits become your Values.
Keep your values positive, because your values become your Destiny"

'Keeping the commitment’

TM Selvan started his speech by questioning the audience; do you really still have the focus on your goals? When we sign application for toastmasters, we must have made few commitments like completing projects, taking up roles and to serve the club as an officer when called to do so. When he approached Rajesh Natarajan, he told that try giving one speech a month and complete one project per month and try to attend meetings at least 4 weeks in a month. Try to communicate with every member in the club and even with the guests. This is not only helping others but it indirectly helps us. In order to bring new members to the club, excomm has to do so many adjustments. It is our own duty to bring guests and inform people about toastmasters’ organization. The best advertisement for this could be self development. He concluded saying that “ Best leader is a one who shows that he cares for others”
