The 247th Chennai Speaker Forum meeting was
conducted on 9th April’17, at Trust Conference Hall, Nungambakkam.
Meeting started at around 10 am.
10.00 A.M. SSA CALLS FOR MEETING.
Meeting was called to order by the Acting Sergeant at Arms ,TM
Shriram, who explained the mission and vision of ToastMasters and control was
handed to The President.
10.03 A.M. PRESIDENT
ADDRESS.
President TM Siddarth set the tone for the meet and declared
the meet open.
10:07 A.M.- GUEST
INTRODUCTIONS.
The President requested the guests to introduce themselves.
The guests for the day were Narayan Kalamadi and Srivatsan N.R.
10:10 A.M. – PRESIDING OFFICER INTRODUCED THE TMOD.
Presiding office TM Siddarth introduced the TMOD – TM Nagaraj,
who announced the Theme and word of the day.
Theme Of The Day:
Master Blaster
Word of the day:
“Tour de force”.
10:15 A.M. – GENERAL
EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION.
TMOD introduced the General Evaluator for the meet, TM Gopalakrishnan,
who explained his role and in turn announced the TAG Role Players of the day, as
below

The Prepared Speech segment started with TMOD calling upon

By the end of this segment, TMOD requested the gathering to
vote for the best speaker and proceeded to the next segment.
10:50 A.M. – TABLE
TOPIC SESSION
TMOD handed over the control to TM Sowmya, who essayed the role
of Table Topics Master.
The TT session was fun , involving everyone present , including
the guests. The TT session had some innovative segments like Talking For and
Against a chosen topic , many topics were simple and encouraging for the guests
too.
By the end of the TT session, control was handed back to
TMOD.
11:20 A.M. –
EVALUATION SESSION
The General Evaluator was called upon by the TMOD for an
evaluation session. The GE and his team of evaluators presented their
evaluations for all the prepared speeches.
Best part about the evaluations was that we had many
veterans evaluating the speeches. The evaluators were not only providing their
feedback to the speakers, they also gave tips and tricks for everyone to take
away.
After the evaluations of the speech segment, the control was
handed back to GE.
11:40 A.M. – TAG TEAM
& GE REPORT
GE requested the Tag role players to present their reports,
which was later followed by the GE Report for the day.
The GE observed that the Word of the Day and the Theme of
the Day was not displayed anywhere and advised the attendees to avoid muttering
when the session is going on. He also noted that all the sessions were well
organised.
The GE handed the control back to the President, who called
upon the Secretory for the M.O.M. Recap Session.
11:50 A.M. – GUESTS
FEEDBACK
President requested guests for their feedback on the
session. Motivated by the energy of the CSF sessions, the guests expressed
their interests in becoming a member soon.
