Meeting No 252 - Minutes

The 252^nd  Chennai Speaker Forum meeting was conducted on May 20^th, at Medley Toastmasters Club,Gandhi Nagar, Adyar.

Attendees included members from both Medley and CSF Club. 

Meeting started at 2:55 pm.

2:55 P.M.-  MEETING CALLED TO ORDER                                                                                    

The SAA for the day ,TM Shriram set the tone for the meet by explaining the mission and vision of every Toastmasters meet.He then handed over the control to the CSF President TM Siddarth.

3:00 P.M.- PRESIDENTS ADDRESS

The President addressed the mixed crowd from Medley and CSF and declared the meet open.

He also called upon the guests for the day for their introduction.    

        

3:05 P.M. – PRESIDING OFFICER INTRODUCED THE TMOD.

The President introduced the ToastMaster of The Day – TM Pratima Jain. She explained the proceedings of the meet and introduced the word of the day and theme of the day

Theme Of The Day: Take a trip.

Word of the day: Motley Crew.

she later handed over the control to the General Evaluator.

3:10 P.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION.

The General Evaluator for the meet was TM Bharathi Goel, who explained her role and in turn announced the TAG Role Players of the day, as below

Timer – TM Shriram

Ah Counter - TM Shriram

Grammarian - TM Siddarth

Control was handed back to the TMOD.

3:15 P.M. – PREPARED SPEECH SESSION

We had 4 speakers for this session – Sowmya J giving her CC1, TM Sujith giving his CC3, TM Selvan giving his project 4 from ACB speeches by management and TM Manoj giving his project 2 from the high performance leadership.

All the speakers spoke for the time allocated and none were disqualified.

By the end of this segment, TMOD requested the gathering to vote for the best speaker and proceeded to the next segment.

03:50 AM – TABLE TOPICS SESSION

TMOD handed over the control to Table Topics Master for the day ,TM Arun Kumar.

TT session saw some fine topics and participation from both Medley and CSF members.

By the end of the TT session, control was handed back to TMOD.

4:20 P.M. – EVALUATION SESSION

The General Evaluator was called upon by the TMOD for an evaluation session. The GE called upon his team of evaluators who presented their evaluations for all the prepared speeches.

The evaluators were TM Rajesh Velpandian , TM Archana, TM Vivekanandan and TM Karthikeyan.

After the evaluations were done, the control was handed back to GE.

The GE ,in his report, noted the tranquil and ambient atmosphere at Medley Club, she was also in awe with the seating arrangements and the meeting conduct.

The GE handed the control back to the TMOD.

4:40 P.M.- TEST YOUR LISTENING SKILLS

The TMOD handed the control back to the President. who later handed over his control to his secretary, who did a recap of the minutes of  251^st CSF Session. And  asked questions from the current meet during test your listening skills.

4:50 P.M. – ANNOUNCEMENTS OF WINNERS     

The Presiding Officer called upon TM Godwin from Medley to acknowledged the below winners

Best Speaker –  TM Sujith

Best Evaluator – TM Archana

Best TT Speaker -  TM Siddarth

Best Role Player – TM Pratima

12:00 P.M. – MEETING ADJOURNED

The Presiding Officer thanked the Medley Clubs Excomm for accepting the exchange invite and welcomed the Medley Club Members to CSF the next day.

He also made an announcement about the upcoming Excomm election , the election chair – TM Siddarth and the election dates – June 11^th 2017.

The next CSF meeting was adjourned to 29^th May 2017.
