The meeting was a combined meeting of both Chennai Speakers Forum and Chennai Communicators Club. 

The 259^th Chennai Speaker Forum meeting was kick started on 7^th Jan’17, at IIT Madras Research Park, Taramani at 3 pm. 

Some of the special guests were District Director of District 82 - DTM Ajantha Jayawardhana, Club Growth Director of District director – TM Sarma Mahalingam and the area directors of division D.

Meeting started at 3 PM on a fresh note.

3.00 P.M. SSA of CCC TM Nagendran CALLS FOR MEETING.

Meeting was called to order by the Sergeant at Arms, who explained the mission and vision of Toastmaters and introduced introduces the Presiding Officers – TM Shriram and TM Preetha              

3.02 P.M. PRESIDENT ADDRESS.

The President of CSF – TM Shriram and the President of CCC – TM Preetha declared the meeting open and addressed the meeting as well

3:08 P.M. – PRESIDING OFFICERS INTRODUCED THE TMODS.

Presiding officers TM Shriram and TM Preetha introduced the Toastmasters of the day – TM Sidharth from CSF and TM Helen from CCC

The TMODs introduced the theme of the day and addressed the special guests such as District Director of District 82 - DTM Ajantha Jayawardhana, Club Growth Director of District director – TM Sarma Mahalingam and the area directors of division D.

The TMODs also introduced the Theme of the day.

Theme of the day was – “Together we achieve more”

Word of the day was - Resplendent

3:14 P.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION.

TMODs introduced the General Evaluator for the meet, TM Uday Kiran, who explained the role of a General Evaluator and in turn announced the TAG Role Players of the day, as below

Grammarian – TM Himani(CCC)

Ah Counter – TM Venkataprabhakaran(CSF)

Timer – TM Arun Kumar(CSF)

3:15 P.M. – PREPARED SPEECH SESSION

We had two speakers attempting their prepared speech exercise from the CC manual.

TM Manasa(CCC) was the first speaker for the day; he attempted the project 4 from CC Manual – How you say it? Which was titled “Lessons from a Village Friend”

TM Bharthi Goel(CSF) attempted the project 6 – Vocal Variety from CC Manual titled “Should I Quit?”

3:32 A.M. – EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS

We had an education session by DTM Ajantha Jayawardena on ‘Conflict Management’

Following that, we had another educational session by TM Alan Ephrem on ‘How to make a Humorous Speech’

4:24 P.M. – TABLE TOPIC SESSION

TMOD introduced the Table Topics Master TM Sailesh(CCC), who took control of the table topics session , where he called upon some of the attendees of the meeting.

The table topics were as below

1. The first table topic was titled “A trip to Goa” where four participants were called and one participant will speak one sentence and the next one will speak the next sentence

2. The second table topic was a dumb charade which had a toastmasters theme

3. For the third table topic, the Presidents of CCC and CSF were called to talk about their respective clubs’ achievements and which club a potential member should join.

4:36 P.M. – EVALUATION SESSION

TM Rajesh Velpandian(CSF) evaluated TM Manasa’s speech

TM Vijayrajan(CCC) evaluated TM Bharthi Goel’s speech

4:44 P.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR’S REPORT

TM Uday Kiran, the General Evaluator for the day gave her feedback

4:51 P.M. – ANNOUNCEMENT OF BEST PERFORMERS

Control was handed over to the presiding officers TM Shriram and TM Preetha, who got the feedback from the guests for the meeting and called upon the esteemed guests to acknowledged the below winners.

Best Speaker – TM Manasa(CCC)

Best Evaluator –  TM Vijayrajan(CCC)

Best Table Topics Speaker –  “A trip to Goa” team consisting of TM Manoj Alugumalai(CSF), TM Satish(CSF), TM Prathima(CSF)

Best Role Player – TM Sailesh(CCC)

Best Tag Role Player- TM Arun(CSF)

5:05 P.M. – MEETING ADJOURNED

Presiding officers TM Shriram and TM Preetha adjourned the meeting to 9^th of July ’17.
