The 260^th Chennai Speaker Forum meeting kick started on 23rd July’17, at Trust Conference Hall, Nungambakkam.

Meeting started at 10 am on a fresh note.

10.00 A.M. SAA CALLS FOR MEETING.

Meeting was called to order by the Sergeant at Arms TM Nagaraju, who explained the mission and vision of Toastmaters and introduced the Presiding Officer TM Shriram.

10.05 A.M. PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS.

President TM Shriram declares the meeting open and delivers the address

10:10 A.M. – PRESIDING OFFICER INTRODUCED THE TMOD.

Presiding office TM Siddarth introduced the TMOD – TM Karthik Dandapani,who announced the Theme and word of the day.

Theme of the day was – “Nurture Nature for our Future"

Word of the day was - Epic

10:15 A.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION.

TMOD introduced the General Evaluator for the meet, TM Arun Kumar, who explained his role and in turn announced the TAG Role Players of the day, as below

Grammarian – TM Farhan Ahmed

Ah Counter – TM Nagaraju

Timer – TM Nikhil

10:20 A.M. – PREPARED SPEECH SESSION

We had four exciting speakers attempting their prepared speech exercise from the project manuals.

1) TM Mukesh was the first speaker for the day, he attempted the icebreaker speech titled "Counting Blessings".

2) TM Satish Kumar attempted the project 2 – Organize your speech from CC Manual with his speech titled "The Marathon".

3) TM Gopalakrishnan gave a speech titled - "A crisper future" for his 4th Project in the CC Manual.
4) TM Srikar Pedapudi spoke on "My journey to job" for the 4th Project in the CC Manual.

10:50 A.M. – TABLE TOPIC SESSION

TMOD introduced the Table Topics Master TM Rajesh Velpandian, who took control of the table topics session , where he called upon everyone who attended the meet for impromptu speaking , including the guests.

The table topics were as below

Few general topics were as below:         

1)  What would you do if you were the President of the environmental club?
2)  What is your role in making the Earth a better and cleaner place?
3)  Colours are the smiles of nature. What is your favourite colour?
4)  I learned the value of hard work by working hard.
5)  Do you think RO plants form a major part of our future?
6)  The butterfly counts not months but moments. Similarly, live your life every minute.
7)  It always seems impossible until it is done.
8) The past cannot be changed. But the future can.
9) What is something in the current world that turned artificial?
10) It doesn't matter how slowly you go as long as you don't stop.
11) The two things you like the most about nature.
12) Nurturing nature is not only beneficial for us but also our future generations.
13) We grow ourselves by helping others grow.

TM Arun Kumar , the General Evaluator for the day gave his feedback

11:45 A.M. – ANNOUNCEMENT OF BEST PERFORMERS

Control was handed over to the presiding officer TM Shriram, who acknowledged the below winners.

Best Table Topics Speaker –  TM Sowmya

11:50 A.M. – ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEWSLETTER RELEASE

Control was handed over to the presiding officer TM Shriram, who called the newsletter team - TM Satish and TM Nagaraju. They, in turn, called TM Saro Velrajan to release the newsletter to everyone in the meeting.

12:00 P.M. – MEETING ADJOURNED

Presiding officer adjourned the meeting to 23^rd of Jul’17.
