The 260^th Chennai Speaker Forum meeting kick started on 16^th July’17, at Trust Conference Hall, Nungambakkam.

Meeting started at 10 am on a fresh note.

10.00 A.M. SAA CALLS FOR MEETING.

Meeting was called to order by the Sergeant at Arms TM Nagaraju, who explained the mission and vision of Toastmaters and introduced the Presiding Officer TM Shriram.

10.02 A.M. PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS.

President TM Shriram declares the meeting open and delivers the address

10:07 A.M. – PRESIDING OFFICER INTRODUCED THE TMOD.

Presiding office TM Siddarth introduced the TMOD – TM Vijayraghavan ,who announced the Theme and word of the day.

Theme of the day was – “In Ten Years”

Word of the day was - Onerous.

10:12 A.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR INTRODUCTION.

TMOD introduced the General Evaluator for the meet, TM Manoj Alagumalai, Who explained his role and in turn announced the TAG Role Players of the day ,as below

Ah Counter – TM Farhan Ahmed

Timer – TM Natraj

10:16 A.M. –EDUCATIONAL SESSION

We had an exciting educational session titled 'Go Beyond' by TM Sridhar Ranganathan.

10:45 A.M. – PREPARED SPEECH SESSION

We had two speakers attempting their prepared speech exercise from the project manuals.

TM Venkata Prabhakaran was the first speaker for the day, he attempted the icebreaker speech

TM Selvan attempted the project 2 – Organize your speech from CC Manual.

11:12 A.M. – TABLE TOPIC SESSION

TMOD introduced the Table Topics Master TM Pratima Jain ,who took control of the table topics session , where he called upon everyone who attended the meet for impromptu speaking , including the guests.

The table topics were as below

Few general topics were as below:         

1. Name the change which you are around from the past 10 years.

2. Where do you see yourself in ten years' time.

3.  If I gave you Rs. 10 crores, how would you spend it in the next ten years.

4. Purpose is an incredible alarm clock

After that the TTM introduced Shipwreck for the remaining TT speeches:

 Shipwreck theme - Toastmasters are sailing in the Indian ocean. The ship is about to sink and there is only one life boat available in the ship.

Shipwreck Scenario - Each Table topic speaker is given a character about whom they have to speak for 1 to 2 minutes and convince others that they deserve space in the life boat.

11:45 A.M. – GENERAL EVALUATOR’S REPORT

TM Manoj Alagumalai , the General Evaluator for the day gave his feedback

11:52 A.M. – ANNOUNCEMENT OF BEST PERFORMERS

Control was handed over to the presiding officer TM Shriram, who acknowledged the below winners.

Best Speaker – TM Venkat

Best Evaluator –  TM Supraja

Best Table Topics Speaker –  TM Sidharth

Best Role Player –  TM Vijayraghavan

Best Tag Role Player- TM Farhan
